On June 7, Prof. TANG Ying, Vice-President met with Mr. Ueno Yoshihare, Deputy Magistrate of Iwate Prefecture, Japan, and other 7 delegates in 525 of National Engineering Center.
Vice-President TANG Ying welcomes all the guests on behalf of YAU. TANG Ying introduced the history, current situation in research and teaching, international relation of YAU to the guests. She said Yunnan Province is a big agricultural province, thus both sides have broad prospects of cooperation. YAU would like to open a channel of exchange and cooperation in agriculture with Iwate in the near future.
Deputy Magistrate Ueno Yoshihare for the warmly welcome of YAU! He said Iwate Prefeture is also a big agricultural prefeture. Both sides have broad prespects of cooperation in rice and tobacco. He will analyse the bases and fields of cooperation after the delegation goes back to Iwate and promote as soon as possible the cooperation in planting, breeding and education of both sides.
The guests visited Bio-Diversity Application Engineering Research Center and Pu-Er Tea Authentication Center after the meeting.
