Yunnan Agricultural University Talents Recruitment Program (Extracts)
In its aim to achieve the goal of developing itself into a high-quality teaching & research-oriented regional university with distinct characteristics, Yunnan Agricultural University (hereafter referred to as YAU) intends to recruit outstanding domestic and overseas talents to strengthen its disciplinary construction and comprehensive competitiveness. Based on the practical situation, YAU categorizes its talents recruitment policy into five parts. Requirements and benefits are as follows:
I. Basic Requirements
Applicants should be law-abiding, honest, trustworthy, physically and psychologically healthy; they demonstrate in work their due professional ethics, responsibility and cooperative spirits.
II. Classification and Benefits of Full-time Talents Recruitment
A. The First Classification of Talents: Leading Talents
Applicants need to meet one of the following requirements:
Being member of Chinese Academy of Sciences;
Being members of Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering;
Being Foreign Academician;
Being Outstanding Talents of Special Support of National High-Level Talents.
Benefits
resettlement allowance, purchasing house subsidy, research starting and supporting fees and remuneration will be, according to the actual conditions, negotiated and determined between YAU and talents.
B. The Second Classification of Talents: Top-level Talents
Applicants meet one of the following requirements:
1. Winner of the National Youth 1000 Talent Plan;
The Yangtze River Scholar Professor by the National Ministry of Education;
winners of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund
the national distinguished teachers
the national outstanding professional and technical expert,
successful candidates for the national special support program for high-level talents candidates for Yunnan provincial leading figures in science and technology.
2. Applicants are under 55 years of age, experts or scholars with full professorship or the equivalent in prestigious universities or R&D institutes and meet at least one of the following requirements:
(1) being the leadership position in national support for key disciplines or key laboratories or the chief scientists or directors of China's major scientific research projects;
(2) winner of the first prize (ranked the first two)or of the second prize (ranked first)of National Science Award;
(3) for the past five years, at least 1 full paper published in internationally-authoritative journals such as Nature, Science or Cell as
first author or corresponding author; For experts of humanities and social sciences, over 5 papers fully published in SSCI or A & HCI;over 6 published in journals which should be listed in the first section of JCR (Journal Citation Reports) reported by ISI (Institute for Scientific Information )in the same year.
Benefits:
Resettlement Allowance and subsidy for purchasing houses: 2 million yuan;
Research starting and supporting fund: 3 million yuan for experts of natural science and 1.5 million yuan for experts of humanities and social sciences;
Annual pay: 600,000 yuan;
YAU offers to set up research team, provide assistants and offices and labs for teaching and research.
Spouse employment shall be taken into consideration.
C. The Third Classification of Talent: Top Talent
Applicants are required to meet at least one of the following requirements:
1. Experts or successful candidates under Short-term Projects of the 1000 Talent Plan for High-Level Foreign experts; the National Youth 1000 Talent Plan; Chang Jiang Scholars Program by the Ministry of Education P.R.China; young top talents of Special Support Plan for High-level Talent of China; the 100-Talent Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences; New Century Talents Project; winner of NSFC ( Natural Science Foundation of China ) State Natural Sciences Foundation; National Achievements Library of Philosophy and Social Science and Yunling Scholar of Yunnan Province.
2. Applicants are under 50 , being full professorship, and meet one of the following requirements:
(1) being academic leaders of Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education P.R.China;
being chief scientists of projects supported by the Special Scientific Research Fund of Public Welfare Profession at ministerial level;
being directors of key state projects of NSFC;
being the first advisor of the national Excellent Doctoral Dissertation;
(2) winner of the first prize (ranked third) or of the second prize (ranked second) in national science and technology awards;
winners of over 2 projects (ranked first) in ministerial-level social science excellent achievements prize or in provincial-level teaching achievement prize;
(3) for the past five years, 1 full academic paper (effecting factor≥15.0) published in SCI as first author or corresponding author or over 4 full papers published in the first section of JCR for the experts of natural science;
over 3 full papers published in SSCI or A & HCI for talents of humanities and social sciences.
Benefits:
1. Settlement and housing subsidies: 100.000 yuan
2. Scientific research starting and supporting fund: 200,000 yuan for experts of natural science and 800,000 yuan for experts of humanities and Social Sciences.
3. Annual pay: 400,000 yuan
4. YAU offers to set up research team or help integrate into the team, provide assistants, offices and labs for teaching and research.
5. Spouse employment shall be taken into consideration.
D. The fourth Classification of Talents: Outstanding Talents
Applicants are under 45 years with a doctorate degree, being associate professor and meet at least one of the following requirements:
1. Winner of national Excellent Doctoral Dissertation or successful candidates of Support Program of New Century Outstanding Talents.
2. Academic leaders of the provincial key disciplines; winner of Yunling Outstanding Teacher; successful candidates of Yunnan Recruitment Program of The High-End Talents in Science and Technology, or of Yunnan High-Level Overseas Talents Recruitment Program; other Provincial Talents Recruitment Programs.
3. Over 1 project (ranked first)won the first prize in provincial science and technology awards (or provincial social science Excellent Achievements Prize) or over 2 projects won the second prize (ranked first).
4. At least one directors of China's major scientific research projects; for the past five years, at least 1 full academic paper (effecting factor≥7.0) published in science journals as first author or corresponding author; over 2 full papers published and should be listed in the first section; over 4 full papers in the second section of JCR (Journal Citation Reports),; over 1 full paper published in SSCI or A&HCI for humanities and social sciences.
Benefits:
1. Subsidies for resettlement and purchasing houses: 500,000 yuan.
2. Scientific research starting and supporting fund: 500,000 yuan for experts of natural science and 200,000 yuan for experts of humanities and Social Sciences.
3. Annual pay: 200,000RMB
4. Coordinate to set up research team, provide offices and labs for teaching and research.
5. Spouse employment shall be negotiated in accordance with the needs of the work.
E. The fifth Classification of Talents: PhDs recruited by YAU
1. Excellent PhD Talents:
Applicants need a PhD, be under 35 years and meet one of the following requirements:
(1) a PhD granted by an overseas education institution;
(2) Over the past five years, being the first author published 2 or more full academic papers in JCR source journals of Natural Science; academic paper in Section 2 in science journals; 2
academic papers in CSSCI journals of Social Science.
Benefits:
1. Resettlement allowance: 10,000 yuan;
2. Scientific research starting and supporting fund: 10,000 yuan for experts of natural science and 60,000 yuan for experts of humanities and Social Sciences;
3. YAU pays one-off subsidy of 12,000 yuan when temporary house is unavailable;
4. YAU pays each talent a living subsidy worth 2000 yuan per month for 2 consecutive years.
2. Ordinary PhD Talents:
Applicants need a PhD and be under 35 years.
Benefits:
1. Resettlement allowance: 50,000 yuan;
2. Scientific research starting and supporting fund: 50,000 yuan for experts of natural science and 30,000 yuan for experts of humanities and Social Sciences;
3. YAU pays each talent a living subsidy worth 12,000 yuan when temporary house is unavailable.
III. For the distinguished talents with exceptional achievements, requirements shall be moderately loosen and talents classified after relevant materials submitted to the University Academic Committee for examination and approval.
